Research Activities

In its pursue to innovating and developing the most advanced techniques and apply them to future technologies, Wave Up is constantly working on new ideas. Research is always among the primary focuses of the company in order to stay at the forefront of technology.

One of Wave Up’s active research areas includes reconfigurable antennas. The possibility of using antennas which are able to steer their beam is gaining an increasing interest for future telecommunication systems which are going towards higher capacity and higher transmission speeds.

Wave Up’s preliminary studies show that beam steering antennas based on the Metasurface technology is possible and that the requirements set by the newest communication systems may be met.

Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about our latest developments in this field.

Projects

In the past years, Wave Up has been involved in several projects founded by the Italian and the European Space Agency, also in the role of prime contractor. The close working relationship with the European and Italian space agencies, exposing Wave Up to cutting-edge technologies, has become the vehicle for technological innovation, and has provided a springboard permitting Wave Up to pursue its innovative ideas and to develop ad hoc analysis and design tools allowing for their effective implementation.
